that's a pretty slick article.... great pie charts.. awesome colors...
makes an interesting statement about taxes as an influence on oil prices.....
by the looks of it.... crude oil's price makes up the bulk of the new gallon price...
so taxes have very little to do with it... perhaps the oil companies can afford to pay more taxes on their profits huh???

Could be the writer's use of "I" in the piece along with the question mark in the title. PD has been telling many that headlines that end with question marks is one tell that a piece is an opinion item, not a news story. Put that together with the "I" and it looks like someone's opinion based on personal research, not a bonafide news item. I don't know anything about consumerenergyreport.com, but seeing that the home page is a knockoff of The Drudge Report also suggests a ton of bias at work.

It's not news. It's just a bunch of figures that don't mean anything to the average reader.
