Diesel is the cheapies to make and everything depend on it.
Example:

Farming, who grow out food.
Trucks that take our food to the stores.
Trains that bring merchendice to the stores.
Transportaing.

And so much more.

Bring the Diesel prices down to a $1.00 and the country will recover over night.

Example:
More money to feed our family, so we have more money to buy items in stores, and this will make more jobs.

Question: Why want the media talk about DIESEL, but focus on gas.
If we have extra money for food and other items, who cares about gas?

Another reason diesel is high is because we export approx 45,360 gallons or more every day to other countries. FYI approx 35,000 gallons of the diesel we export is the newer 15 ppm ULSD.

You made several points why it is so high. With the amount that is used, that keeps the price up. Also, with the mandate of ULSD, that added refining costs.

The cost is based on the Federal ULSD mandate, federal and state taxes and the speculative markets that drive the price of oil. Diesel really is less refined then gas but theses things and greedy oil companies drive the price.

Diesel costs a lot more to produce than $1 per gallon so no oil company would sell that low.

Your post is so full of spelling and grammar errors that your opinion loses all credibility.

ULSD cost more to produce, also we have a lot of military equipment that runs on Diesel Fuel. Ground vehicles in Afghanistan, two carrier groups in the Persian Gulf and those ships burn fuel like crazy.

Why does Radio Shack ask for your phone number when you buy batteries? I don't know!

In what world can you justify diesel selling for $1.00 a gallon when the oil it is refined from costs $2.20 a gallon based on WTI and $2.63 a gallon based on Brent pricing?

And what do you base your theroy that it is the cheapest to refine on? Since the Feds required the new ULSD standard for diesel in the US it has become a lot more expensive to refine. Any cheaper higher sulphur diesel that is produced gets sent to South America because they have more lax regulations concerning the sulphur content of diesel.
