I got a Nintendo Wii a few months back.

My question is, how many of you are still looking for one to buy?
Are thy still hard to get in stores? I waited in line for 2 hours one morning to get one.. this was after they had already been out 2 months too...

I did just happen to see about 10 of them at meijers the other day. That is why I am asking if they are still hard to get a hold of.

I bought a bundle online from Walmart. Came with the console plus 2 controllers, 2 nun chucks, wii play, some sports pack thing (attachments for your wii to make it more realistic when playing tennis, baseball, and golf), and 5 other games I got to choose from a list. Ended up being about $600 with shipping and everything.

With the dive of the dollar, it does not surprise me that Nintendo's focus is on other markets.

It's amazing to me that over a year after the initial post, this thread could still be viewed as pertinent... and yet, I've heard rumors that there is no shortage at all of Wii consoles in Europe. It almost seems as though Nintendo doesn't care one bit about the US market!

Search wii tracker, and it will tell you which store has them in stock.

They are still hard to find in stores but there are a few websites out there that that stores and update to let you know when they are in stock. I used http://www.xpbargains.com/wii_locator.php and got mine about 2 months ago. They seem to be becoming easier to find.

Talking with my local Game Stop - they get 3 a week, and have 7 or more people waiting to buy them. SO - for me there is still a shortage.

I think it depends on the store and the location.

People are going to look at electronics stores before Meijer. I've learned to check meijer if I'm ever looking for a video game. I never see anyone else buy video games at one. It amazes me.
