It's hard to have a "land of the free" with bureaucracies such as this.

No Ethanol, use straight gasoline for the best engine performance! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

Opinion piece that does not belong here per the posting guidelines, but you knew that jcs72. Please put this junk in the Politics Forum.
"About Us It’s hard to say when Conservative Action Alerts officially began –
Initially, Conservative Action Alerts (CAA) was limited to email alone – it was collection of conservative, grassroots activists who wanted to know how they could best take political action. The group formed out of frustration with Washington’s elect and their failed, unconstitutional policies.
Before we developed our blast faxes, we organized phone rallies – perhaps we could call them “blast calls” – that have actually shut down the switchboards in Washington. We have also organized and supported live political rallies and have assisted a number of conservative causes.
Over time, we made more and more connections – not only to those which we wished to keep accountable on the Hill – but to other conservative groups with the similar goals.
We welcome meaningful connections and have enjoyed our substantial growth over the years. We want to continue to connect the grassroots and our elected officials and empower them to fight for fiscal sanity and workable, constitutional solutions in Washington. We do this through education and action."

The EPA does good work but this is not part of it. Get rid of the ethanol mandate completely. Let the market decide whether E10 or E-free rules.

The EPA working against the better good of the public. I wouldn't mind seeing the EPA eliminated and the tax $$$ currently going to it to be used for other necessary projects or not taken from the taxpayers to begin with.

From the article: “Penalizing refiners who unknowingly bought fraudulent RINs from sellers registered with EPA is unjust, irresponsible and bad policy because it punishes crime victims instead of criminals.”
======================================================================
That would seem to be "par" for the course where "the EPA puts the burden on refiners and importers to ensure the credits they purchase are valid." So I have to agree with Ron Arnold on his last comment in this article:
"The best solution is to eliminate this system entirely."

There may be a place for part of EPA, but overall it is one of most costly and burdensome agencies - and not enough oversight on it

Another example of why the EPA needs to be eliminated or have its enacting legislation totally rewritten. Another wise thing to do would be to pressure the US Congress to rescind the law that created this foolish situation, i.e. that was is the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
